In the day-time you felt that you had got high up; near to the sun, but the early mornings and evenings were limpid and restful, and the nights were cold.

Eigentlich Baronin Karen Christence Blixen-Finecke, dänische Schriftstellerin. 17 Jahre verbrachte Tania Blixen in Afrika. 1932 kehrte sie auf das Gut "Rungstedlund" zurück, wo sie zu schreiben begann. Ihre hintergründigen Romane und Erzählungen kreisen um die Schicksalverhaftung des Menschen.
